An aide traveling with Joe Biden to the climate summit in Scotland tested positive for Covid-19.
The Covid positive aide and other staffers did not fly back to the US on Air Force One with Biden.
Scoop: A White House aide who accompanied Biden to international summits in Europe last week tested positive for coronavirus infection before the president returned to the U.S. The aide and some of Biden’s other traveling staff remained behind in Scotland, sources tell me.

According to a Bloomberg reporter, Biden’s inner circle freaked when they found out about the Covid case.
This positive coronavirus case caused a stir for some in tight, closed circle of Biden officials who knew about it. Some aides who were supposed to fly home on AF1 or support lane stayed behind in Edinburgh; they later flew to US on other govt aircraft. One remains in Scotland.

This is the second staffer in Biden’s close circle to test positive for Covid-19 in the last week.
Last week White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki tested positive for Covid.
