When announced on Monday, a hastily scheduled, additional hearing of the sham January 6 committee touted a surprise guest.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who served as a senior aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, will testify and is expected to be accompanied by multiple lawyers and other guests, according to Punchbowl News.
Hutchinson is the lastest of those tied to Meadows who appear to be turning their back on the former President and complying with the sham committee.
CNN reported that Hutchinson was with Meadows during the events surrounding the Capitol riot and had considered testifying before the January 6 committee. The deicision comes after Hutchinson replaced her lawyer, who had ties to former President Donald Trump.
She has already given private testimony to the committee. A portion of that footage was played during the hearing last Thursday.

As an aide to the White House chief of staff, the committee has assumed that Hutchinson would be aware of all sorts of plans to challenge the 2020 election results.
During the last sham committee hearing last Thursday, the committee displayed a clip of Hutchinson’s testimony in which she testified that six members of Congress pursued a pardon from Trump. Those individuals who were named have spoken out to dent the testimony of Hutchinson.

The sham committee is hopeful that Hutchison will attest to Trump’s alleged “approving reaction to the U.S. Capitol riot,” per CNN.
Last week, the January 6 committee announced it was delaying its previously scheduled hearings in June until July due to a trove of new evidence it had amassed. The new evidence is said to include footage from filmmaker Alex Holder, who had filmed with Trump during the period of the Capitol riots on January 6.
