Hollywood elitist Bette Midler on Monday lashed out at West Virginians after Democrat Senator Joe Manchin killed Biden’s Build Back Broke bill.
“When you have these things coming at you the way they are right now … I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation,” Manchin said on “Fox News Sunday.”
Manchin said he spoke with Biden, Schumer and Pelosi but couldn’t reach an agreement because of ongoing inflation, the national debt and the Covid pandemic.
“This is a no,” The West Virginia Senator said. “I have tried everything I know to do.”
Bette Midler Monday morning called West Virginians “poor, illiterate and strung out” from her ivory tower in response to Manchin listening to his constituents.
